The name came from a moment of pure frustration. Adam was working for an agency that embodied everything wrong with this industry. One day, the owner looked at a contractor's website they were building and said: "I don't care what the site looks like or if it even works. I want it live so we can start billing this guy."
Adam told him he felt like a monkey behind a keyboard. Then he took the files home that night, worked until he had something he was actually proud of, brought it back in the morning, and published a site that worked.

Before Rebel Ape, Adam ran a full-service marketing agency with a business partner. They grew quickly and had great clients — many of whom are still with Rebel Ape today.
